Healthy- How Good is the Abs Diet?

The Abs Diet brought to you by David Zinczenko claims to strip away belly fat and turn it into muscle. The premise behind The Abs Diet is that muscle is more effective for burning fat and if you can get more muscle you will burn more fat.

It incorporates both diet and exercise so that your body produces muscle which will burn fat faster resulting in quicker weight loss. The goal of The Abs Diet is twelve pounds in 2 weeks with an emphasis on flattening the stomach. While most diets are concerned with what you are NOT eating the abs diet is completely opposite. The abs diets motto is more food equals more muscle which equals less flab.

The diet is also centered around eating 6 meals per day consisting of the twelve Power Foods

1. Almonds and Nuts

2. Beans

3. Green Veggies

4. Dairy (low fat milk yogurt and cheese)

5. Oatmeal Plain (not sweetened)

6. Eggs

7. Turkey and other lean meats

8. Peanut Butter

9. Olive Oil

10. Breads and Cereal (Whole Grain Only)
