Since the 17 Day Diet was on TV in early December as a way to lose weight quickly for the holidays, its popularity has exploded and has people wondering whether or not this diet plan is the real deal. The 17 day diet consists of 4 cycles. The first 3 cycles involve sticking to certain meal plans and changing how you eat them every few days or as directed by the plan. The 4th cycle involves a repeat of the 3 cycles.

The whole diet takes 17 days. Users are given specific meal plans to follow for a 17 day period. Every couple of days, they are told to switch how they eat their meal plans, including eating in different proportions, amount of meals to eat per day and so on.
