Diet has always been regarded as one of the top three reasons why people are overweight. Diet controls your body. It supplies your energy, your emotion, and your weight. Often times, people mistake diet for starvation or eating less when the reality is that a quick improvement is needed. Many people dont know how to fix their diet without revamping their daily lifestyle. It really is much easier than most people think.
- Take a look at your fruits and vegetables Many people dont get the suggested servings of fruits and vegetables. Some do. For those that already eat fruits and vegetables, you must note that too much fruit is bad for you. This immediately eliminates fruit diets from the healthy list. Fruit carries sugar and too much sugar contains a similar effect to eating tons of cookies. Vegetables are actually all right even if you overeat them. For those that dont eat fruit and veggies, they are an essential part of your diet.
- Reduce your extras intake Your extras, like cookies and pie, can actually be consumed. However, that does not qualify them to become the majority of your diet. The ideal situation is to completely take out the extras part, but that requires some serious lifestyle revamps. Simply reducing the intake of sweets, bad fats, and bad oils (olive oil is healthy!) is enough. An easy way to do this is to cut the intake in half. This can simply be eating half as much. After, you can completely cut down that days extras.
- Watch your carbohydrates Your body uses carbohydrates as its main form of energy. Did you know that it uses carbohydrates, then fats, and finally proteins in order to supply energy? This isnt always good though. Your carbohydrates supplies calories for the bodys energy. However, if your exercise level does not use up all or most of those calories, the carbs go straight into the form of fat. This, in turn, builds up and youre digging yourself a hole immediately. Eating less carbohydrates (down to about 60% of your calorie intake) can start you on the right track. Be sure that your fat and protein doesnt turn up in vast amounts!
You see? Diet fixes are not so bad after all. You just need to know which parts of your diet needs help. You need to know some (not many!) amounts of energy intake. Eventually youll want to start counting calories to make sure you are taking in an amount that matches your exercise.
