Healthy- Shift Calories to Lose Weight

One of the most effective approaches to dieting is to shift calories to lose weight. Calorie shifting is a fairly new phenomenon, one that has gained immense momentum and popularity over the years as a serious contender to the other so-called mainstream diets that have dominated the weight loss industry for so long. In sharp contrast to other diet programs that require you to reduce or eliminate your consumption of certain things, such as calories, carbohydrates, fats, sugars, or even sodium, the Calorie Shifting diet allows you to, and in fact requires you to, eat a healthy balance of ample food from all four of the major food groups.

The emphasis on the word ample in the above paragraph is indicative of one of this diets most telling features: You are allowed to eat as much food as you want at every one of four daily meals until you are completely satisfied. But you must stop eating just short of actually reaching the brink of being too full.

In other words, one of the lessons to be learned from this diet is how to develop an awareness of your bodys appetite. Learn to identify the bodys telltale signs that you have overeaten, you are still hungry, or you are satisfied.

To shift calories, is to deliberately manipulating your daily food intake such that the types of calories that you consume are grouped together in a pattern that shifts rotationally from meal to meal, and from day to day. In doing so, the resulting effect is that your bodys metabolism begins to tap into its fat reserves for energy.
